For levels 3 and 4, Vanlue Local School has created a Remote Learning Program designed to provide a continuity of instruction and learning. When Vanlue Local School changes to the Remote Learning Plan, parents and students will be notified. Please select the grade range that fits your student.
K-3 Students
The Vanlue Local School District Remote Learning Program is designed to provide a continuity of instruction and learning in a format that will allow direct instruction, one on one meetings, and online discussions.
Instruction
Instruction and content will be delivered in a block schedule format with each subject happening twice a week following the schedule below. Students will be required to participate in their scheduled class just like they would if they were in school. All instructional activities should be completed by the due date assigned by staff members unless arrangements are made for extensions. You can expect your child(ren) to have live video conferencing sessions with his/her teacher individually, in small groups or with their full class throughout the week.

Student Responsibilities: Be engaged with your teachers and classmates on a daily basis. Check Google Classroom and your school email daily. Complete and submit assignments by scheduled due dates or make arrangements with your teacher for extensions. Attend all group and one-on-one meetings. If you have questions about assignments, communicate with your teachers. Set up a time during Office Hours or ask questions during class time.
Parent Responsibilities: Check in with your child(ren) each day about their learning. Help them establish a daily routine and space to work remotely. Communicate with teachers if your child(ren) is experiencing difficulties with classwork, but encourage your older children to communicate first. Contact Mr. McCoy if there are difficulties with technology.
Packet: If your family does not have WiFi access, paper packets will be available. Pick-up/Drop-off will happen on Fridays starting September 4. The red bins will be out from 7am-7pm on Fridays. Student attendance will be calculated on daily assignments completed and returned each week. If assignments are not returned, the student will be counted as absent.
