Dear Vanlue Community,
I am very excited to provide all of you with the following updates. Although we are still working out specific details for most events, more information will be provided closer to the actual dates. I am happy that we are now able to move forward and plan for some of these fun traditions. Below are some of the upcoming events:
5 Days a Week
We will be returning to in-person learning starting the last 9 weeks of the school year. This will begin on Monday, March 29th. We will also observe that Friday, April 2nd (Good Friday) as our Spring Break. In person classes will resume on Monday, April 5th.
Spring Sports
Spring sports will be occurring with some guidelines: wearing masks, social distancing, etc. We are asking for spectators to bring lawn chairs to watch the games. With the limitation on Fall and Winter Sports, the Blanchard Valley Conference (along with other area conferences) may be charging for spectator’s entrance. Vanlue will be charging $5/ticket and those tickets will be available to purchase through Hometown Ticketing.
Band & Choir Concert for Grades 7-12
We are pleased to announce that on Thursday, March 25th beginning at 7:30p.m., our student musicians will put on an in-person concert. Each student will be provided a set number of vouchers for admittance into the gym.
Prom
Prom is scheduled for Saturday, May 15th at The Vault in Carey. The Vault is located next to Moreno’s on Findlay Street.
Graduation
Graduation is scheduled for Saturday, May 22nd and will be in-person. We will begin at the traditional 7:00p.m. start time.
