4/27/20 - COVID-19 UPDATE
Dear Vanlue Families,
Since Ohio's schools will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, I want to continue to share gratitude towards staff, students, parents, and the community for their patience and understanding through all these challenges that we are all facing.
We are working diligently to ensure the best for your child's education and well being. We are committed to plan for the remainder of the school year and to protect the health and safety of our students, parents, and staff while doing so.
Please note that there may be changes to these items so please check back weekly.
Instruction and Support:
Although the school building and grounds are closed, instruction and support will continue. Pickup/Drop Off of packet work will continue on Fridays 7am to 7pm.
Senior Schedule:
May 8: Last day of packet pickup for seniors
May 9: Junior/Senior Hollywood Nights Parade 7pm in town
May 15: Last day to submit school work
May 19: Senior turn in day: 12- 3pm
Books, calculators, computers/power chords, fines due/Pick up cap, gown, and diploma cover
May 22: Senior "Dine In and Drive" Breakfast at 9AM. This is for the students and staff only.
K-11th grade Schedule:
May 15: Last day of packet pickup
May 21: Last day to return packet and submit school work
Turn in for books, calculators, computers/power chords, fines, etc. are as follows:
May 26: Grades K-3 4-7pm
May 27: Grades 4-6 4-7pm
May 28: Grades 7-8 4-7pm
May 29: Grades 9-11 4-7pm
Athletics:
Winter and Spring sports school equipment/uniforms must be returned by the due dates above. Since there will be no Spring sports, please keep in mind that for fall sports 4th quarter grades will be used for eligibility. More information will come regarding Fall sports so please continue to check our website/social media pages for information.
Library Book Return:
There will be a tub out every Friday From 7am to 7pm to return library books as well as the above dates.
Technology Device Return:
All school computers/power cords need to be returned on the above dates. Those who are doing summer CCP will be contacted regarding your device.
End of the Year Events:
We remain committed to focus on our seniors. The Class of 2020 has certainly experienced many obstacles throughout the end of this year and for this we are sorry.
May 9: Junior/Senior "Hollywood Nights" Parade 7pm in town
May 22: Senior "Dine In and Drive" Breakfast at 9AM. This is for the students and staff only.
Senior Awards/Graduation: We are awaiting additional guidance from the Governor and ODE. Therefore we are going to continue to brainstorm and plan how we can best honor our students and families and be in compliance with the Ohio Department of Health order. Once we finalize, we will distribute plans as soon as possible.
